WordPress Plugin that works Combating Spam

I have had problems with Akismet but the only true anti spam combating plugin which works for me is from Gail@Growmap.

I like this Plugin because it does not interfere with my visitors and the only spam that slips through is friendly and complementarity spam from idiots which gives me a laugh. Like who in there right mind would think that people searching for anti spam software for WordPress would be intrested in shoes for example.

The G.A.S.P WordPress plugin lives up to it’s name it combats Blog spam,Does not interfere with User comments and above all does not make non spammers blacklisted unlike Akismet.

I want interaction on my blog and any questions my readers have should not be determined by an unreadable captcha  or a email blacklist. the simple way to confirm that you are not a spammer is to show that you are not an automated response Gail has found a way just by making a simple checkbox as a spam protection tool for WordPress.

What I really like about this plugin is it’s the only plugin that seems to work on my version of WordPress and I self code and use the Ht.access files to make my own rules for my blog.

    Thank you Roezer. Andy at CommentLuv wrote this plugin for me and it is a true blessing. Logging in and having 1000+ spam a day to moderate would have driven me nutty by now. :-)

    If you ever do get a manual spammer you find annoying just put their email address or the URL they’re promoting into the blacklist section under discussions in WordPress.
