The Basics of Subscribing to RSS feeds
Avoiding all the Technical Details I will attempt to write this with the non Blogger in Mind.RSS is basically a call from a website or blog that you have subscribed to just like a magazine subscription that comes in your letter box every month with a new issue. The Delivery of this just like the post man needs a letterbox or postbox to put the magazine into is called a News Aggregator do not get afraid of the word Aggregator. It’s just another name for a feed reader and rss is just another name for a feed. The people who invented this technology like to confuse people for some reason.
So what do you need to get feed updates from your favorite blogs
If you have an email address this is enough to get feed updates but you can also use a feed reader so your inbox does not get cuttered. If you have a Gmail Account you can easily use Google reader to subscribe to feeds when you goto your Google Account you will see try something new and then search for google reader there are full instructions on the site.
How do you subscribe to feeds
To subscribe to feeds you need to look for an Icon on the website that you wish to subscribe to that looks something like this
When you click o the RSS Icon then it will ask you how do you want to Subscribe either with your feed reader or an Email subscription. It will Generally look like the Image Below in the screenshot
I hope this helps you understand the basics of RSS and Feed any questions just use the comment box and if you wish to test what you have learned consider subscribing to my feed:)
