Google Chrome Users are Experiencing Problems Accessing Secure Pages, however there is a quick way to Solve this Problem with viewing Secure Pages in Google Chrome.Today was going to check my Google Account and got this strange Message Error107 from Chrome saying

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount?hl=enmight be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): Unknown error.

I had a Similar Issue Running Safari using Playonlinux for Ubuntu the Browser  would not Allow me to Access  to Secure Sites because of SSL certificates or some other Browser Security Reason. So I checked My Google Chrome Options I found that it was because after Updating there was a change to the SSL 2.0 Properties and the Radio Button to Allow SSL 2.0 was Unchecked .

Fixing this error is simple by Going to your Chrome options that is the small spanner on the top right and select Under the hood from the Menu.Then make sure the Use SSL 2.0 Radio Button is Checked and you will not see this error message Again.You could also Disable DNS Prefetching and clear your Cache to be sure you are Viewing the Current Page.

You just need to go to your browser settings in chrome or other web browsers to fix error 107 quickly.

Also much the same story with  Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error. that can befixed the same way

Just to Add to This if you are Also Using Google DNS it can Also be a Small Problem with Seeing this Message again after enabling SSL 2.0 until the Cache Refreshes so you could Also reset your Router and Configure it again for Google DNS using the Servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Update SSL 2.0 is no longer available in the latest version of Google Chrome as it is considered insecure

  4. On your Mac, go to System Preferences,Then exit Chrome and open it again.

  5. still a problem.
    after checking “ssl 2.0″, the situation improved (i can now login to google accounts), but i still get ERROR 107 when trying to access gmail or google account settings.

    it only started with chrome 6.0

    • I have not got error 107 for weeks but I have noticed many problems with logging into my Google Account lately I also use Chrome 6.0.Does the Problem happen everytime you to login to your Gmail or just sometimes.

  6. There is no SSl radio button in my options which here in the UK are shown as under the bonnet..
