  1. I never knew about Compress CSS option. I was testing so many layout tricks with the blogger blog template and it was already a mess and going down and down.

I have tried the CSS compress and actually it has shorten the CSS considerably. I have been opening the blog in my computer so i cannot feel much different in terms of speed.

    Good one.

  2. Your picture doesn’t help me. lol I use an external CSS file that is good for the entire site. I agree that the amount of time a page loads can certainly reap rewards with Google! No one likes a slow site.

  3. I have tried this just know. Is it correct what I have done.
    Q1)
    The first:
    I have cut from
    Is it right ?

Q2)I don’t see any changing in the css writing & size, is it like that actually ?

I am sorry for asking here in your comment box which is for comment.

  4. I done everything you said an it seem that it’s not work. It says next:
Invalid variable declaration in page skin: The skin variables could not be parsed as they are not well-formed. Input:
    Error 500

    • Hi Al
There are some Templates and Themes that CSS Compression will not work with are you using the Template Designer from Blogger this Could be the Reason

  5. CSS optimization is a very valid form of speeding up downloads without having to sacrifice much (just legibility). With the average dialup user downloading at 3kb/s, savings of just 10kb can mean the page loads a stunning 3 seconds faster. And just imagine ESPN with savings of almost 18kb. Multiple by the large traffic the site gets, and those are some real solid promotion-worthy savings.

    • Thanks Winx
If many of the high traffic sites optimized their css and pages in general there would be much less stress on our isp servers probably giving the rest of us a better and more consistent Internet connection.Cnn has 150.2KB of CSS when I done a to pingdom tools test on the site and it’s the 52nd most popular site according to alexa data if they alone were to reduce the amount of CSS loading the bandwidth saving would be massive.
