Using an Online payment processor like paypal.com is an easy way to accept payments on your website, But there are more ways to accept payments on your site like using alternative payment processing systems like moneybrokers. The reason being that sometimes people have paypal accounts frozen and others that paypal is not allowed in some countries.
Moneybrokers offer the same services as paypal and are accepted as a form of payment on many websites and online shopping outlets. Moneybrokers are fully integrated into Ebay and should not be overlooked as a payment option for website owners and people shopping online in General.
While you may think you are earning enough with your pay pal merchant account you could be earning much more from additional sales payments from moneybrokers.com Other options for accepting payments and payment processing for buying products online are Alertpay and Google Checkout. Both Alertpay and Moneybrokers offer Mobile payments just like Paypal mobile Payment.
Which form of Payment Processing do you use or have you considered more ways for customers to buy on your site even from your eBay seller account without the use of credit cars or paypal. For example Cheque payments or postal orders for Goods you sell online ?.

I use PayPal for the most part but use a separate checking account attached to it. I always keep limited funds in both.
Several years ago there was a small payment processor called StormPay. I had over a thousand dollars in my account when they, StormPay, froze our accounts and I never got my money back. They were under investigation and went out of business when they couldn’t fund the withdrawal requests from it’s members. That was an expensive lesson and made me pretty cautious even today.
It was part of the whole 12DailyPro ponzi scheme “autosurf” website were Charis Johnson ended up scamming thousands of members.
Great point Trisi,
You are right not to leave too much money in online payment accounts.I would not leave too much money in them for a start I don’t have it in the first place :) but seriously I have heard many rumours about many people getting paypal accounts frozen. Paypal and other such payment processors should not be treated like bank accounts to store large amounts of funds although your money is not that safe in banks any more either especially here in Ireland.
Thats a really valid argument guys. It is always safe not to keep any money on cyber space. It is always been a risk. Like you have mentioned the Accounts can be frozen or even hacked. Anyways, if you are trying to make money online, you always have to have these options like Paypal and etc.
I always spend the money in Paypal account to develop the blogs. In that way I will make sure that the balance is always less and afford to loose it at any given time :)
This PayPal of a thing is really driving Internet users from my country nuts because my country is not allowed to register or own an account…we use other alternatives like Liberty Reserve, Alertpay and others
