Tumblr is a Micro Blogging Platform that is becoming increasingly popular if you wish to change your tumblr site to your own Domain or Custom Domain name you can do this in a few Easy Steps. I am going to Explain how you can Install tumblr on your own Subdomain.
First you Have Make a New A-Name record in your Dns Setttings Host Gator calls it Simple DNS Zone Editor and Point it to 72.32.231.8 .
After you have created your new new subdomain goto your Tumblr Dashboard and point your Tumblelog to your new sub Domain that you have just created by selecting customize ten Info and selecting and Checking the Radio Button to Publish to a Custom Domain.Here are those Steps you need to do to redirect your tumblr to your own Domain Name.
*Make an A-name to point to 72.32.231.8 .
*Select Info in your Tumblr Dashboard.
*In the Info Section Select Publish to a Custom Domain.
If you have done everything correct you can test your Domain with this Domain Checking tool for Tumblr to see if it is pointing to the correct DNS settings.
