Emergency Operating System

When you get a problem with your computer that can’t be fixed without reinstalling your Operating System all is not lost if you have this free to download and Burn live CD, It’s one of many that you can find if you are willing to learn more about linux based operating systems tohat are easy to use and do not require much technical know how. The whole system will run from the CD Rom you just need a software to burn the image to a cd rom. But you can also install it to a USB Stick using Unetbootin or any other live usb creation software leave a comment if you have any questions about unetbootin. It’s best to have a copy just in case  anything happens. It’s free but I can’t recommend any ISO burning software for Windows as I have not used any for a while now checking the site forum might help if you have any other questions you can find the link on the xpud website at the bottom of this page I can’t link to the forum as it’s hosted in google groups.

What a great little program. Never heard of it. It would have been better back in the day, right now I can’t even tell you when I saw a blue screen of death last! Maybe a couple of years? (Knock on wood) I just can’t remember! With Windows 2000 I used to get them all the time. With Vista (God how I hate Vista) it seems like it’s never an issue. Maybe the Blue Screen of Death was caused by the Blue Moon??? ;) Happy New Year!

There are More Applications to come it Currently Supports Skype and Open office but since it is only 64 mb then it can’t have too much pre installed it has saved me once or Twice Already because I like to play around with GRUB

Hi Roezer – I’ve never heard of Xpud before. It’s always good to be aware of another fast-loading Linux distro, especially for troubleshooting purposes. I’ll give Xpud a look and maybe add it to my toolkit.

BTW, I got here through one of your Squidoo pages. Just proves Squidoo works, eh? Happy Holidays!
