I have created this page with the intention of making the option of closing comments on blog posts to filter spam while still letting valid comments still have the chance of being processed and considered for publication even if comments are closed. Each time a Visitor makes a comment people that have previously commented will receive an email update to the discussion. As I prefer only for these people that have made their opinion on these blog posts when something of value has been said to be notified closing comments is the only way I can stop annoying them with commenting updates while still keeping the reader subscribed to new comments.
