This is a post about Affiliate programs and I think they all suck even the one’s that people say don’t. Take Clickbank for example only 1% of the Affiliates are actually making money from them and it’s the way with most others. The only Affiliate program I am even semi serious about at this moment is the Google Affiliate program because it pays alongside with my Adsense Earnings.
So allthough the Google Affiliate program may not be the best I will not try to be one of those bloggers selling the Thesis WordPress theme or trying to hard to promote Hostgator as the best Website hosting Service there is a reason why because most people who click on your affiliate links are just going to look to see if the affiliate program is any good.
Finding a good affilite program seems to be hard and even earning a few bucks online to your paypal account seems to be hard one example was mylikes were I was earning some money every week into my paypal account but now I have not seen one offer to earn for weeks these kinds of programs are helpful while they last but finding programs that pay seems to be getting harder because of the amount of junk you have to read.People will say that an affiliate program pays just to earn referrals so when you have thousands of bloggers write about programs that pay just so they can get you to join as their referral it is hard to find honest opinions on these affiliate programs.
Another problem is Zero Day Commission Duration as most people that click affiliate links are just going window shopping they are not really interested in buying products.I find that the Amazon affiliate program is like this also because if someone clicks an Amazon link for Amazon US and they live in the UK you still won’t get paid and although I am an Irish Blogger most of my Traffic comes from outside the EU so there is not much point in promoting products from Amazon Ireland.
Then there is Commission Junction that will delete your Account if you failed to make money within 6 months and most of the Product promotions are only starting to rank in the search engines leaving you with many worthless affiliate links. Also there are Affiliate programs that will not accept you because they think your content is not appropriate for their products all I can say to this if you are any way experienced with writing blog posts you will be surprised just how easy it is to integrate any topic into a blog.So my question is do you know any Affiliate programs that don’t suck because I think most of them do and have way too high minimum payouts and too many terms and conditions.

Hi Roezer
I’m not big on adsense or CJ. And yes CJ did close my acct and I have no desire to reopen anytime soon.
I’m sure you’ve heard of SocialSpark/ShareASale/Blogsvertise and so on. I don’t mind writing reviews on a couple of my blogs so SS and Blogsvertise bring in some coins each month. As for SAS it took me awhile to get my first payout but I eventually did and from there it took off a little bit better but still slow. Of course this is do to low traffic as well and me not working the ads as well as I could. I have to reach out and ask the programs each week to send but so far this seems to be working. I think IZEA has really poor customer support and despise dealing with them at times but I’ve made a fair amount of change on a monthly basis from them. I am currently reaching out to PR peeps for my fashion site as this seems to be working rather well for it. Otherwise it’s just keep plugging away. We need (wish I had the money) to start our own affiliate network, I’m sure those f**kers are getting rich off us. Maybe someday! :P
Thanks Lee,
IZEA really sucks they run sponsored tweets min payout $50 and one offer a month for a $1 tweet they are like revtweet and just not even worth visiting the site.I tried a payperpost program they send me offers of $2 for a sponsored post same again $50 payout.Another problem with payperpost offers is that they ask you to promote things like furniture stores which is way too off topic and sometimes the offers will ask that you post in another language also I could not get this blog listed because it’s not on the Domain root and installed on a folder.I think These have high minimum payouts so that most will never reach payout just like Amazon and it’s crappy 24 hour cookies people are probably buying through your Affiliate links but not on the same day they do a little window shopping first but when they buy a product your cookie has expired.
I use both Adsense, Commission Junction and Amazon on my sites. I have luck with all but Amazon. Amazon brings in just pennies. lol I’ve had these affiliates on my sites for years and won’t complain. I would like to earn 3x what I make, but I get paid and that’s the important thing.
Most affiliate programs do suck. Most of them are harder to work than people realize. Unless you have naturally motivated buyers looking for what you are promoting, you are going to have a hard time getting any sales at all.
I think the path to wealth in affiliate marketing is marketing your own information products. Each one should have its own website too. That way if people try to cheat you out of the commission by going directly to the site, you will still get paid.
Selling your own products is the way to go.As the saying goes you never get rich working for someone else, I guess if you spent more time creating your own product and not wasting countless hours figuring out Affiliate programs you would be much better off. Thanks for your comment Kathy and I hope to see you here Again
